<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?><rss version="2.0" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom"><channel><title>Kurkure on What Just Happened NOW</title><link>https://www.wjhnow.com/tags/kurkure/</link><description>Recent content in Kurkure on What Just Happened NOW</description><generator>Hugo -- gohugo.io</generator><language>en-us</language><lastBuildDate>Fri, 04 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000</lastBuildDate><atom:link href="https://www.wjhnow.com/tags/kurkure/index.xml" rel="self" type="application/rss+xml"/><item><title>FDA Seizes ₹75 Lakh Maggi, Lay's, Kurkure in Navi Mumbai: Expiry Dates Were Altered</title><link>https://www.wjhnow.com/p/fda-seizes-75-lakh-maggi-lays-kurkure-in-navi-mumbai-expiry-dates-were-altered/</link><pubDate>Fri, 04 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000</pubDate><guid>https://www.wjhnow.com/p/fda-seizes-75-lakh-maggi-lays-kurkure-in-navi-mumbai-expiry-dates-were-altered/</guid><description>&lt;img src="https://www.wjhnow.com/img/2026-09-04_FDA.jpeg" alt="Featured image of post FDA Seizes ₹75 Lakh Maggi, Lay's, Kurkure in Navi Mumbai: Expiry Dates Were Altered" /&gt;&lt;p&gt;I’m genuinely shocked reading this.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;FDA just busted a racket in Navi Mumbai where people were literally erasing expiry dates on Maggi, Lay’s, Kurkure and selling them again.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;h2 id="what-happened"&gt;What happened&#10;&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;p&gt;Maharashtra FDA + Navi Mumbai Crime Branch did a 6-day raid between &lt;strong&gt;Aug 24 and Aug 29&lt;/strong&gt; at &lt;strong&gt;Sadhana Enterprises in Turbhe&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;What did they find? &lt;strong&gt;4,942 cartons of expired food worth ₹75 lakh+&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;The scam was simple and dirty.&#10;They’d take expired stock from export companies, use &lt;strong&gt;thinner to erase the original manufacturing and expiry dates&lt;/strong&gt;, then use an inkjet printer to print new fresh dates.&#10;For some products they even pasted &lt;strong&gt;new stickers over ingredients and nutritional info&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;h2 id="what-brands-were-involved"&gt;What brands were involved&#10;&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;p&gt;This wasn’t some local brand.&#10;&lt;strong&gt;Lay’s, Kurkure, Bingo, Fun Flips, Maggi Masala &amp;amp; Atta Noodles, Knorr, Rasoi, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, Thums Up, Limca&lt;/strong&gt; were all found there.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;FDA says this stock was meant for export but was being repackaged to sell in the domestic market.&#10;10-13 exporter firms are named in the FIR including companies from Noida, Delhi, and Mumbai.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;h2 id="the-people-behind-it"&gt;The people behind it&#10;&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;p&gt;Run by &lt;strong&gt;Jayprakash Singh and Jaya Singh&lt;/strong&gt; at Sadhana Enterprises, Plot C-849, TTC Industrial Area, Turbhe.&#10;FIR has been registered at Turbhe Police Station under Food Safety Act.&#10;&lt;strong&gt;FDA licence cancelled with immediate effect.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;Tukaram Mundhe, FDA Commissioner Maharashtra, confirmed the seizure.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;h2 id="why-this-matters"&gt;Why this matters&#10;&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bro. This is food we eat daily.&#10;Maggi for late night. Lay’s with chai. Kurkure for kids.&#10;And someone thought it was smart to wipe the expiry date and sell it again?&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;FDA said some of this stuff was already in circulation. That’s the scary part.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;h2 id="what-you-should-do"&gt;What you should do&#10;&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&#10;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Check dates carefully&lt;/strong&gt; when you buy packaged food&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Look for tampered stickers&lt;/strong&gt; or smudged printing&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&lt;li&gt;If something feels off, &lt;strong&gt;complain to FDA&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&#10;&lt;/ol&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;This raid happened in Navi Mumbai but FDA says similar export stock gets diverted across India.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;I don’t know about you, but I’m checking my pantry today.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What do you think?
