They’d take expired stock from export companies, use <strong>thinner to erase the original manufacturing and expiry dates</strong>, then use an inkjet printer to print new fresh dates. For some products they even pasted <strong>new stickers over ingredients and nutritional info</strong>.</p> <h2 id="what-brands-were-involved">What brands were involved </h2><p>This wasn’t some local brand. <strong>Lay’s, Kurkure, Bingo, Fun Flips, Maggi Masala &amp; Atta Noodles, Knorr, Rasoi, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, Thums Up, Limca</strong> were all found there.</p> <p>FDA says this stock was meant for export but was being repackaged to sell in the domestic market. 10-13 exporter firms are named in the FIR including companies from Noida, Delhi, and Mumbai.</p> <h2 id="the-people-behind-it">The people behind it </h2><p>Run by <strong>Jayprakash Singh and Jaya Singh</strong> at Sadhana Enterprises, Plot C-849, TTC Industrial Area, Turbhe. FIR has been registered at Turbhe Police Station under Food Safety Act. <strong>FDA licence cancelled with immediate effect.</strong></p> <p>Tukaram Mundhe, FDA Commissioner Maharashtra, confirmed the seizure.</p> <h2 id="why-this-matters">Why this matters </h2><p>Bro. This is food we eat daily. Maggi for late night. Lay’s with chai. Kurkure for kids. And someone thought it was smart to wipe the expiry date and sell it again?</p> <p>FDA said some of this stuff was already in circulation. That’s the scary part.</p> <h2 id="what-you-should-do">What you should do </h2><ol> <li><strong>Check dates carefully</strong> when you buy packaged food</li> <li><strong>Look for tampered stickers</strong> or smudged printing</li> <li>If something feels off, <strong>complain to FDA</strong></li> </ol> <p>This raid happened in Navi Mumbai but FDA says similar export stock gets diverted across India.</p> <p>I don’t know about you, but I’m checking my pantry today.</p> <p><strong>What do you think?
